The collections of words are the literacy textbooks used by the lower-class people in ancient China.They were widely circulated in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.In addition to listing ordinary things,they also included various contract documents.These contract documents involved all aspects of daily life,reflecting the active economic relations at that time,and meanwhile standardizing complex interpersonal interactions,reflecting the voluntary and honest contract spirit of ordinary people in daily economic transactions.Presently the lack of honesty has become a serious problem faced by our society.The collections of words in Ming and Qing Dynasties’contract documents and contract spirit contained in them can offer important reference value for current construction of honest social system.
