According to the structural characteristics,assembly form and machining technical requirements of section steel roll,this paper analyzes various problems existing in roll machining by ordinary roll lathe and various advantages of CNC lathe in roll machining,introduces the transformation and practical application of CNC lathe in pass machining of section steel roll,and makes full use of the advantages of CNC machining technology.The processing requirements of high quality and high efficiency of section steel roll are realized.
