内热不但是引起糖尿病的初始因素,也是糖尿病发展成为糖尿病肾病的推动因素。基于胃肾相关理论,糖尿病病位在胃肠,初由胃肠结热所致,日久耗气伤阴,结于肾络,损伤脉络,导致“肾络癥瘕”,最终发展成为糖尿病肾病。基于此,提出“内热致癥”是糖尿病肾病的核心病机理论,确立了“清热消癥”的治法,并自拟清热消癥方。
