二〇一三年七月十一日、十二日,习近平在视察西柏坡时发表讲话。在讲话中,习近平要求领导干部不断领会“两个务必”的意义。从思想意义上说,“两个务必”首先包含着对我国几千年历史治乱规律的深刻借鉴;“两个务必”包含着中国共产党艰苦卓绝奋斗历程的深刻总结;“两个务必”包含着对胜利了的政党永葆先进性和纯洁性的深刻忧思;“两个务必”包含着对即将诞生的人民政权实现长治久安的深刻忧思;“两个务必”包含着对中国共产党坚持全心全意为人民服务根本宗旨的深刻认识。从历史意义来说,“两个务必”使中国共产党经受住了执政、革命和建设的考验。领导干部要自觉总结“两个务必”的坚持和弘扬,带头坚持“两个务必”。领导干部要照镜子,正衣冠,洗洗澡,治治病。只有这样,领导干部才能始终坚持“两个务必”,保持党同人民群众的血肉联系.。

On July 11 and 12,2013,Xi Jinping made a speech during his inspection of Xibaipo,in which he required all the leading cadres to constantly understand the significance of the“Two Musts”.In the ideological sense,“Two Musts”contain a profound reference to the law of curbing chaos in China's thousands of years of history,a profound summary of the arduous struggle of the Communist Party of China;a deep concern for the advanced nature and purity of the Party,deep worries about the longterm stability of the upcoming people’s political power,and a deep understanding of the Party’s fundamental purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly.In the historical sense,“Two Musts”have enabled the Party to withstand the tests of governance,socialist revolution and construction.Leading cadres should consciously summarize and carry forward“Two Musts”and take the lead in adhering to them.Leading cadres should also look in the mirror,dress properly,take a bath and treat diseases.Only in this way can they always adhere to“Two Musts”and maintain close ties with the people.
