Escalator additional brake is one of the important safety protection devices of escalator.While bringing safety guarantee to the operation of escalator,there will also be mechanical or electrical failure,causing sudden stop of escalator and potential safety hazards.It needs regular testing and maintenance by maintenance units.This paper analyzes the actual cause for the abnormal action of the additional brake,solves the fault problem,and also provides the basis for the maintenance unit to focus on the maintenance of the additional brake.
