A Study on Painting Therapy to Promote the Physical and Mental Health of Urban Empty Nesters

城市空巢老人容易产生抑郁情绪,易悲观厌世,易受慢性疾病伤害,易生各种心理疾病。国内外实践表明,绘画治疗是一种评估和治愈身心疾病的非语言治疗技术,贴合老年人身心特征,能够丰富老年人的生活,涵养老年人的精神。各级政府和基层社区应当通过创建绘画治疗网络云平台、积极举办社区绘画治疗知识讲座、引导鼓励空巢老人运用绘画治疗工具进行自我疗愈等举措,促进城市空巢老人身心健康。

Urban empty nesters are prone to depression,pessimism,world-weariness,chronic diseases,and various mental illnesses.Practices at home and abroad have shown that painting therapy is a non-verbal therapy technique for evaluating and curing physical and mental illnesses.It fits the physical and mental characteristics of the elderly.Therefore,it can enrich the lives of the elderly and cultivate the spirit of the elderly.Governments at all levels and communities at the grassroots level should promote the physical and mental health of urban empty nesters by creating a network cloud platform for painting therapy,actively holding community lectures of painting therapy knowledge,and guiding and encouraging empty nesters to use painting therapy tools for self-healing.
