Yao Nai,a great poet of Tongcheng school,has made great achievements in the field of poetry.His poetry is clean and subtle,vividly describes the natural scenery,life and political customs of the society at that time,and poured endless emotion into the poet.As a Confucian intellectual who believed in the way of Confucius and Mencius and the study of Cheng and Zhu,Yao Nai followed Confucius’poetic aesthetic thought of social functions.He combined the emotion and function of poetry organically to make poetry reach the unity of artistry and practicability.
