Study on Characteristics of U.S.Army Dental Corps and Its Enlightenment

目的分析美军口腔卫勤保障队伍建设经验做法,为我军口腔卫勤建设提供启示。方法采用情报调研方法,归纳分析美军口腔卫勤保障队伍平时编成、战时运用和人才培养方式特点。结果美国陆军形成了平时“陆军-地区-牙科机构”3级口腔卫勤管理体系和战时“战区-区域(方向)-旅”3级口腔卫勤指挥体系。陆军口腔人才培养方式主要包括地方牙医直招入伍、军医大学口腔毕业、地方大学联合培养口腔毕业等3个来源。结论我军应加强口腔卫勤保障队伍建设,成立专门口腔卫勤保障机构体系,探索军地结合的口腔卫勤保障人才培养方式。

Objective To analyze the experience and practice of dental health support construction of U.S.Army Dental Corps,and provide enlightenment for dental health support construction of our army.Methods War-time and peacetime organization structure and education of U.S.Army Dental Corps was characterized based on data from open academic and official websites.Results A three-level authorization system was built up including dental commands,reginal dental commands and dental activities.A dental chief was assigned to Theater Medical Command,Medical Brigade and Combat Brigade/Regiment to direct battlefield dental services.Dental officers were recruited from doctor graduate programs by uniformed service universities of the health sciences,accredited civilian dental schools and dental residents in private hospitals.Conclusion It is critical to strengthen dental compacities of our army with more resources input,designated authorized organizational structure and diversity military-civil recruitment sources.
