The Review and Expectation of the Research on The Atlas of Xuan Zang's Buddhist Scriptures

《唐僧取经图册》展示了玄奘西游故事发展演变过程中一个独特的故事系统,所绘内容也体现了其绘制年代的物质文化、宗教信仰乃至对异域空间的想象。但由于旁证材料不足以及《图册》题签和图绘内容的部分错乱,使其在进入学术视野的近30年时间里,研究成果相对有限。文章对《图册》的既有研究成果进行了回顾和整理,同时对进一步研究可能的方向进行了展望。

The Atlas of Xuan Zang's Buddhist Scriptures shows a unique story system in the development and evolution of the story of Xuanzang's journey to the West.The content of"Photo Album of Xuan Zang's Buddhist Scriptures"also reflects the imagination on material culture,religious beliefs and even foreign space at that time.However,influenced by the insufficient circumstantial evidence materials and the partial disorder of autograph and drawing contents of atlas,there is limited the research achievement in past 30 years when the atlas recognized by academic field of vision.The paper reviews and summaries the current research results of atlas,and explores the possible direction for further research.
