摘要
U.S.Department of Energy Funds Carbon Capture Technology In October 2021,the U.S.Department of Energy′s National Energy Technology Laboratory awarded$4 million federal funding to University of Illinois Prairie Research Institute in supporting its project studying carbon capture methods based on a cement mill in Missouri,a Front-End Engineering Design(FEED)study.The goal is to develop a cement plant retrofit method that can separate up to 95 percent of carbon dioxide,which otherwise would be released to the environment.
