Through numerical simulation, the wind pressure and transverse vibration acceleration of trains crossing each other were calculated, the stability of trains crossing each other was evaluated, the crossing frequency of urban(suburban)railway and trunk high speed railway was compared, and the influence of increasing or decreasing line spacing on project investment was analyzed. The results show that the minimum line spacing in the open line section of urban(suburban)railway is set according to TB 10624—2020 Code for Design of Urban(Suburban)Railway. When two trains of the same model cross each other at a constant speed of 176 km/h,the train stability is only qualified, and increasing the line spacing can effectively reduce the impact of meeting pressure on train stability. The crossing frequency of urban(suburban)railway is higher than that of trunk high speed railway, and the transverse vibration of vehicle body caused by crossing is more frequent. Therefore, the level of train stability during crossing should be improved as much as possible. The line spacing of the bridge section of open line of urban(suburban)railway is slightly increased, which has little impact on the project investment. Therefore,it is suggested that the line spacing of open line section of urban(suburban)railway with a speed of 160 km/h should be increased by 0.2 m based on the minimum line spacing recommended in TB 10624—2020.
