On the popularity and implications of Shi-er poems in Song Dynasty

两宋示儿诗数量较前朝大增,其背后原因是宋人在右文政策下对童蒙教育的重视,以及宋人在内忧外患处境下忧患意识较强的反映,同时也是宋代大量文学家族内部进行文化传承的一种手段。这些示儿诗丰富了宋诗的题材,拓宽了宋诗的疆域,对宋诗艺术成就的取得具有重要贡献。

Compared with the previous dynasties,the number of Shi-er poems(those written for children)in the two Song Dynasties increased greatly.The first reason is that the Song people attached great importance to the education of children under the policy of the right-wing policy,the second is that the Song people had a strong sense of worries under the situation of internal and external troubles,and also the third is that is a means of cultural inheritance within many literary families of the Song dynasty.These poems enriched the subject matter of Song Ci,broadened the scope of Song Ci,and made important contributions to artistic achievements of Song Ci.
