A Comprehensive Review of the Addendum to The Novels and Miscellaneous Dramas in the Song Dynasty

王国维先生的《宋元戏曲史》是中国第一部系统研究戏曲发展史的论著,其中《宋之小说杂戏》是当今了解古代戏曲形成发展的重要材料,但是限于时代材料不足,其论述难免有不妥之处。后代许多学者对王国维先生的观点进行了补遗,曾永义对此问题做了较为系统的论证。

History of Drama in the Song and Yuan Dynasties by Wang Guowei is the first treatise in China which systematically studied the development history of drama.Among them,The Novels and Miscellaneous Dramas in the Song Dynasty is an important material to understand the formation and development of ancient drama.However,due to the lack of materials of the times,the discussions to it is inevitably inadequate.Many scholars of later generations have supplemented Wang Guowei's views,and Zeng Yongyi has made a more systematic demonstration on this issue.
