基于BOPPPS模型的《通信原理》课堂教学设计——以非均匀量化与编码为例

摘要 在高等教育课程思政和“金课”建设背景下,通信原理课程组积极推行课程改革,以学生为中心,注重创新思维方法的训练,依照BOPPPS模型重新设计了每一节课,并加入了课程思政的元素。以非均匀量化与编码为例,教学目标是让学生理解针对语音信号的特点,均匀量化的不足,以及如何以最小的系统改动,实现非均匀量化,由此得出脉冲编码调制(PCM)的方法。教学设计是从小孩成长过程中的照片引入,从刚出生时一天一个样,到后来一个月、甚至一年才拍一次照,其样貌变化是非均匀的,语音信号也是一样,如何实现其量化,能使得信号量噪比均衡呢?从压扩器的选用到对数特性的确定;从A律μ律的参数选择,到PCM编码的详细步骤,最后以思维导图的形式,总结非线性调制的相关知识点。这种教学方式学生喜闻乐见,在国防科技大学2021举办的教学竞赛中也获得了一等奖。 On the background of emphasizing ideological and political education and improving Golden Courses for the higher education,the curriculum of the Principle of Communication is reformed,designing student-centered classes based on the BOPPPS model,concentrating on the training of the creative thinking,as well as the ideological and political education,on the aim of making candidates have both ability and political integrity.Taking Non-uniform quantization class for instance,the teaching object is making students understand that uniform quantization is NOT suitable for speech signal,and how to realize Non-uniform quantization with minimum modification,consequently,the Pulse Code Modulation(PCM) is introduced.The teaching design is like this,firstly,bridging-in by my daughter’s photos from she was born to age 12.Her appearance changed day by day at the first month,then month by month after half a year,and then year by year after she was 3,which is nonlinear variation,so does speech signal.How can the Quantization Signal-to-Noise Ratio be almost the same for both weak speech signals and strong voice signals? With this question,students are guided to study the compressor and the expander,the logarithmic characteristic,and the selection of the value of parameters of the A law andμlaw,as well as the process of PCM in detail.Finally,all key points will be summarized with a mind map.Students like this kind of teaching design,and we have won the first prize in the teaching competition organized by the National University of Defense Technology in 2021.
