As a worldwide omnivorous pest,Spodoptera exigua is extremely harmful to the field.This paper introduced the distribution of Spodoptera exigua,described the morphological characteristics of adult,egg,larva and pupa,analyzed its biological characteristics,and summarized the agricultural,physical,biological and chemical control methods of Spodoptera exigua,which provides technical reference for the control of Spodoptera exigua.
