摘要
《浮生六记》素有“小红楼梦”之称,由清代文学家沈复所著。因其内容的前卫性先后共出现四个英译版本。利用批评话语分析的研究视角,对林语堂译本和雪莉·布莱克译本进行了研究,对比两本译作在“自塑”和“他塑”下呈现出的中国形象。中国形象有自塑和他塑之分:中国译者的译作呈现的是自塑,外国译者的译作呈现的是他塑。发现在不同意识形态的影响下,两本译作呈现的形象差别甚远,探索二者在关注点、态度倾向和深度上的不同对树立良好的中国形象、增强我国文化软实力、促进中国文化更好地走出去有着积极的意义。
Known as the"Dream of the Little Red Mansions",Fu Sheng Liu Ji is an autobiographical essay written by Shen Fu,a writer of Qing Dynasty.For the openness of the text,the work has four English versions all together.This paper,based on the perspective of critical discourse analysis,makes a contrastive study of English versions of Lin Yutang and Shirley Black to compare the Chinese image presented by two translations from the perspectives of"self-shaping"and"other-shaping".The Chinese image is divided into self-shaping and other-shaping:the translations of Chinese translators belong to self-shaping;the translations of foreign translators belong to other-shaping.It is found that under the influence of different ideologies,the images presented in the two translations are quite diffe-rent.Comparing the differences in focus,attitude,and depth of the two works has great significance for establishing a good Chinese image,enhancing the soft power of Chinese culture,and promoting Chinese culture to the world.
