In the global fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic, overseas Chinese have played an important role as firm supporters of their home countries, participants in the prevention and control of the pandemic in their countries of residence, and promoters of the building of a community of common destiny. However, the severe impact of the pandemic, the stigmatization of China's image overseas and the insufficient publicity of the contributions of overseas Chinese to the fight against the epidemic have restricted the role of overseas Chinese in fighting the epidemic. It is necessary to further improve the emergency relief mechanism of overseas Chinese, establish a good image of China in the international arena, and promote the positive publicity of the contributions of overseas Chinese in the fight against the COVID-19,so as to enhance the sense of identity of overseas Chinese, mobilize their motivation, and enable them to play a larger role in the fight against the pandemic.
