空间批评的理论视域下《五号屠场》中人类精神出路的探求

The Search for the Way out of Human Spirit in The Fifth Slaughterhouse from the Theoretical Perspective of Space Criticism

冯内古特的代表作《五号屠场》被视为后现代文学作品中里程碑式的小说。书中的主人公比利因患“时间痉挛症”打破了时间与空间的界限,可以任意穿梭于过去、现在和未来想象中的各个时空,使小说具有空间审美特质。在运用空间批评的理论对作品中的空间进行分析后发现,特拉玛法多星球这一幻态空间是作家为精神与理想被放逐和流浪的人们所寻找的“异托邦”式的精神庇护所。

Vonneguts masterpiece Fifth Slaughterhouse is regarded as a landmark ovel in postmodern literature.Billy,the protagonist of the novel,breaks the boundary between time and space by means of“time spasm”,and freely shuttles between the past,present and future imagination of each time and space,so that the novel has spatial aesthetic characteristics.This paper uses the theory of space criticism to analyze the space in the works and find that the illusory space of the planet Telamafadu is a“heterotopia”spiritual sanctuary which the writer seeks for the people whose spirit and ideals are banshed and wandering.
