全译方法论指导下的翻译实践报告——以《武陵山区少数民族文化与翻译》课堂实践为例

本篇翻译实践报告是选取《武陵山少数民族文化与翻译》课堂上的翻译实践,节选自《湘西秘史》的两个小节。这是一部集湘西民情民俗、人文历史、人情世故、人生百态之大成的鸿篇巨著。本报告是以黄忠廉教授的全译方法论为指导,探讨翻译过程中遇到的问题和解决方法。笔者选取了书中两个章节进行汉译英翻译实践,然后在全译方法论指导下对实践内容进行分析整理,从而得到关于翻译的新思考。另外笔者还综合湘西特色小说的特点对译后文本进行诗歌化处理,因此在全译方法论指导下,采用对译、增译、减译、移译、换译、分译、合译翻译方法处理文本,最终得到具有可读性的译文。

This translation report is based on the translation practice in the class of Wuling Mountain Minority Culture and Translation, which is excerpted from two sections of the Secret History of Western Hunan. This is a great work of Xiangxi’s folk customs, human history, human feelings and life. Guided by Professor Huang Zhonglian’s Complete Translation Methodology, this report explores the problems and solutions in the process of translation. The author selects two chapters in the book to carry out the practice of C-E translation, and then analyzes the content of the practice under the guidance of the whole translation methodology, so as to get new thinking about translation. In addition, the author also integrates the characteristics of the novel with Xiangxi style to deal with the translated text. Therefore, under the guidance of the complete translation methodology, the author adopts the methods of literal translation, addition translation, subtraction translation, replacement translation, transference, division and co-translation to deal with the text and finally get a readable translation.
