基于语域理论的能源科技英语词汇的汉译

语域理论是系统功能语言学的重要理论之一,其中决定语言特征的变量为语场、语旨及语式,它们影响着文本传达的意义。除了语义,还有其社会意义和语篇想要实现的功能。文章通过分析能源科技英语中词汇的语场、语旨及语式,归纳总结了能源科技英语的语言特征,并在此基础上简述了语域理论对汉译时词汇翻译的指导作用,以及在具体的翻译实践中如何运用这一理论指导能源科技英语词汇的汉译。

Register theory is one of the important theories in systemic functional linguistics,in which the variables that determine language features are field,tenor and mode.They affect the meaning conveyed by the text.Through the analysis of field,tenor and mode,the language features of English science and technology(EST)have been summed up.On this basis of above,the guidance of register theory in translation of English vocabularies has been expounded.Also,how to use this theory to guide the Chinese translation of energy science and technology English words in specific translation practice is introduced.
