牟宗三一生对阅读有着独特的体验和领悟,幼年时期纯真自然的阅读使他保留了对生命的本真。这种生命的本真和对生命意义的探寻使他在大学阶段喜欢上哲学,在对中西哲学书籍大量的阅读和思考中,牟宗三对生命的意义也有了进一步的体悟。之后,受熊十力的学术思想和国难的影响,他又将读书、学术、个体生命和国家未来结合在一起,开辟出一种新的学术路向。牟宗三一生勤勉著述,他的兴趣、关怀、学术取向都与他的阅读有着直接的关联。

Mou Zongsan had a unique experience and understanding of reading in his whole life.The pure and natural reading during his childhood kept him true to life.Such life attitude and the exploration of the meaning of life made him get interested in philosophy in university.Mou Zongsan also had a further understanding of the meaning of life through extensive reading and thoughts on Chinese and western philosophy books.Later,influenced by Xiong Shili's academic thoughts and the country's dilemma,Mou found a new academic direction by combining the individual life,reading,and academic study with the future of the country.Mou Zongsan wrote diligently all his life.His interests,concerns,and academic interests are directly related to his reading.
