Historical Memory and the Narrative Construction in the South China Sea

在持续紧张的南海局势中,“固有领土”叙事是基于历史记忆的社会建构,不相容的叙事客观上增加了问题的复杂性。历史记忆的路径依赖、对无形价值的情感框定、“自我-他者”二元话语结构,强化了负面叙事黏性。那些积极的叙事“推动者”会将“固有领土”话语建构成一种延续性的叙事模板。在2012年中菲黄岩岛冲突、2014年中越“981钻井平台”纷争等危机中,东南亚声索国对中国维权行动施加了负面锚定。历史记忆与叙事黏性的关联逻辑可以为中国主动应对南海舆论压力提供政策启示。

In the South China Sea,the“inherent territory”narrative is a social construction based on historical memory,and the incompatible narratives objectively increases to the complexity of the issue.The path dependence of historical memory,the emotional framing of intangible values,and the discourse structure of“self-other”will reinforce the stickiness of negative narration.The positive narrative promoters,on the other hand,construct the“inherent territory”discourse as a continuous narrative template.In crises such as the 2012 Sino-Philippine Island conflict and the 2014 Sino-Vietnamese crises,Southeast Asian claimants have imposed negative anchors on China’s rights defense actions.The logic between historical memory and narrative stickiness will provide policy insights for China’s proactive response to public opinion pressure in the South China Sea.
