The Influence of Power and Ability of Female Executives on Innovation Performance of Enterprises

高管是企业创新决策主体,其权力大小影响着企业的决策,同时高管的能力也影响其行为选择,能力强的高管可以发现行业的发展前景,并能有效约束权力带来的一些问题,促进企业的发展.研究女性高管权力对企业创新绩效的影响,发现:(1)女性高管权力对企业创新绩效的影响呈倒U型关系;(2)女性高管能力对倒U型关系存在调节作用,让倒U型曲线的形态更加陡峭.因此,应重视并鼓励公司高管层性别多元化,引入高能力的女性管理者,使企业更好地发展.

An executive is an important subject of enterprise innovation decision-making,his power affecting the decision-making of an enterprise.Meanwhile,the executive’s ability affects his behavioral choices.An executive with a strong ability can discover the development prospects of the industry,thus effectively restraining some problems caused by power and promoting the development of the enterprise.Mainly studying the influence of female executive power on enterprise innovation performance,the paper finds that:(1)the influence of female executive power on enterprise innovation performance presents an inverted U-shaped relationship;(2)female executive competence moderates the inverted U-shaped relationship,making the inverted U-shaped curve steeper.Therefore,it is necessary to attach importance to and encourage gender diversity in senior management,introduce capable female managers,and entitle female executives with certain power,so that the enterprises can develop better.
