Differences in intestinal microbiome are associated with the mortality of COVID-19 patients in intensive care units

Dear Editor,Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has developed into a global pandemic.In addition to the common respiratory symptoms,a significant proportion of COVID-19 patients experience gastrointestinal symptoms,such as diarrhea,nausea,and vomiting(Parasa et al.,2020).
