Modern Chinese mathematics was transplanted from European and American modern mathematics.Number theory is the best one of mathematical disciplines which were developed in China.What is the reason for its success in China?This paper graphs the genealogy of some of the Chinese number theorists,and analyses its features,so as to study the Chinese academic tradition of number theory and its formation.
