榆林窟管理及辅助用房项目建设地点位于全国重点文物保护单位榆林窟的重点保护区内,遗产环境和场地条件都对建筑设计提出极高的要求。建筑师在对榆林窟遗产环境变迁进行梳理的基础上,具体讨论了遗产的真实性与环境的真实性之间的关系,重点分析了“真实的”与“真实性”在遗产环境中的差异,进而总结了在遗产环境中进行建筑设计的基本原则。榆林窟管理及辅助用房的建筑设计紧紧围绕榆林窟遗产环境的真实性,以环境设计方法统筹建筑设计,以建筑的空间形象顺应环境的要素,以建筑的空间意象展现遗产环境的真实性。

The project site of the administrative and dormitory buildings of the Yulin Caves is in the core protected area of the historic Buddhist carving caves,a national Protected Cultural Heritage Site.The heritage setting and site conditions present significant demands for the architecture design.Upon studying the evolution of Yulin Caves’heritage setting,this article discusses the relationship between the authenticity of heritage and the authenticity of its setting.It analyses the difference between the‘authentic’and‘authenticity’in the context of the heritage setting,synthesising the fundamental principles for architecture design in a historic environment.The architecture design of the administrative and dormitory buildings of the Yulin Caves focuses on the authenticity of the heritage setting.It adopted environmental design as a method,making the architecture’s spatial composition compatible with the elements in the heritage setting.The design expressed the authenticity of the heritage setting through spatial conception in architecture.
