Overview on the Trauma Narrative of American Indian English Novels

美国印度裔英语小说创伤叙事缘起于美国印度裔作家试图表现印度本土或印度移民群体遭受的创伤性事件的欲望,欧美自由、民主和进步意识形态掩盖下美国印度裔种族认同的抑郁创伤,及其种族移民政策对印度裔族群所造成的种族创伤主题是其表现的重点,但也不乏有对印度特殊历史时期遭受的民族创伤的叙述。本文尝试对美国印度裔英语小说中的创伤叙事进行综合梳理,旨在概览这些小说所关注的创伤问题,创伤的表征方式,以及作家进行文学性创伤叙事的动因与应对策略。

The trauma narrative of American Indian English novels stems from the desire of American Indian writers to express the traumatic events suffered by Indian native or Indian immigrant groups.The depressive trauma of American Indian racial identity under the cover of European and American freedom,democracy and progressive ideology,and the theme of racial trauma caused by ethnic immigration policy on Indian ethnic groups are the focus of its expression,but there is no lack of narration of the national trauma suffered by India in the special historical period.This paper attempts to synthesis and comb the trauma narrative in American Indian English novels,in order to give an overview of the trauma problems concerned in these novels,the representation of trauma,and the motivation and coping strategies of writers’literary trauma narrative.
