作为四书之首的《大学》最早于16世纪由传教士译为拉丁文,400余年来这部儒家经典先后传到法国、美国等世界多地。本文分析考证了《大学》英译本的译者、书名、出版年代和出版社,概述了马礼逊、理雅各、林语堂、庞德和辜鸿铭等代表性译者的文本选择、译介目的与译介效果,希望为中华文化的对外传播提供借鉴。

As the first one of the four books,The Great Learning was firstly translated into Latin by missionaries in the 16th century.This Confucian classic has been spread to France,the United States and other parts of the world during more than 400 years.This article analyzes and verifies the translators,titles,publication years,and publishers of the English versions of The Great Learning,and outlines the translation ideas of Morrison,Legge,Lin Yutang,Pound and Gu Hongming and their translation value.I hope it will have a positive impact on the export of Chinese culture.
