"Breaking away from the shell of the source language"is widely used in interpreting practice.Compared to other fields of consecutive interpreting,medical English consecutive interpreting has its unique features,such as professional difficulty,complex sentence and precision,etc,which all definitely increase the difficulty of its consecutive interpreting.In addition,the interpreter should also face up to the pressure and some of the force majeure factors,so it is very urgent for the interpreter to find a way to balance the pressure from all sides during medical English consecutive interpreting,while"breaking away from the shell of the source language"can serve as the balance.Through analyzing some examples,this paper explores the application of "breaking away from the language shell of the source language"in medical English consecutive interpreting,providing a way of thinking and theoretical basis for the practice of medical English consecutive interpreting.
