Language,as the manifestation of culture,carries the function of spreading and inheriting culture.The huge differences between cultures often affect the target language readers9 understanding of culturally-loaded words and even the whole source text.Based on the English version of Sun Tzus:The Art of Warfare,this paper attempts to explore the translation strategies adopted by Roger T.Ames in dealing with the culturally-loaded words in Sun Tzus:The Art of Warfare.
