在中国,有海的地方大抵都会有一座天后宫。那是海神娘娘的家,承载着一代又一代以海为生的人们最质朴的希望。一千多年前,正值花信之岁的莆田湄洲岛女儿林默因救助海上渔民而罹难,由此羽化升仙,成为了渔民们所崇敬的大海女神——妈祖。而妈祖得道一百多年后,一艘航船从东南福建驶向了北方,停驻在了长岛列岛旁。

Roughly each coastal place has a Thean Hou Temple in China.As a home to the Goddess of Sea,it carries the simplest hope of people living on the sea for generations.About 1,000 years ago,Lin Mo,a twenty-some lady in Meizhou Island,Putian,died for saving the fishermen on the sea and became an immoral.She became Mazu,the Goddess of Sea worshipped by fishermen.
