摘要
CATTI旨在评估考生翻译能力,其任务特征体现了考试的命题质量,且在很大程度上决定考试能否达到其测评目的。本文结合笔译活动的特点,基于Bachman&Palmer的语言任务特征框架,形成笔译任务特征框架。根据该框架,选取2019—2020年CATTI英语二/三级考试“笔译实务”试题作为研究对象,从真实性视角对其特征进行分析。最后,本研究为“笔译实务”试题命制提供以下建议完善评分标准,提供翻译纲要,规范语篇长度和难度,丰富语篇输入形式,丰富试题类型。
CATTI is designed to assess test takers'translation ability.The tasks in CATTI reflect the quality of the test and determine whether the test can achieve its purposes to a large extent.This paper formulates the framework of translation test task characteristics by making some minor adjustments to Bachman and Palmer's framework of language task characteristics according to the specific features of translation activity.Within this framework,this paper analyzes the test tasks in CATTI“Translating Practice”of English Level 2 and Level 3 in 2019 and 2020 from the perspective of authenticity.According to the analysis,some suggestions are put forward for the improvement of test tasks in CATTI“Translating Practice”:specify the scoring criteria,provide the translation brief,standardize the length of passages and test difficulty as well as enrich the forms of source language texts and the types of tasks.
