莫友芝,作为清季走出黔地闻名全国的布衣族书法大家,一生著述等身,诗歌鸣于一时,被尊称为“西南大儒。”然而,莫氏人生旅况遭际却饱经沧桑,茹苦含辛,不时有字号称谓加身,言志,寄情,自况,不一而足,诉说着他奔波困顿的故事,折射出其时社会风情、政治、书法、诗歌等多处原生场景。是一幅幅生动传神的白描与写照,勾勒出友芝先生的人生轮廓,并凸现了其部分人生的深层,可一窥其曲衷。

Mo You-zhi,as a famous calligrapher of Buyi Nationality in the Qing Dynasty,went out of Guizhou and wrote a large number of famous works,and therefore he was honored as“the great scholar in Southwest China”.Mo’s life experience was full of vicissitudes and hardships.Fromtime to time,various appellations of Mo’s expressed his will and his feelings,reflecting many original scenes such as social customs,politics,calligraphy and poetry at that time.Those were like vivid line drawing and portrayal,which outlined Mr.Mo You-zhi’s life and even highlighted some of the deep layers of his life.
