This article is a discussion on the development strategy of smart city.Smart city is a long-term development business,which requires continuous accumulation of knowledge and wisdom,and cannot be rushed.The top-level design should be centered on building a sustainable service chain,and a smart city is built on a sustainable service chain.Information technology is the glue that promotes global organization,and organization is the biggest externality generated by IT applications.Smart cities include the prosperity of organizational innovation in various fields,and its connotation far exceeds the concept of IT application.It is impossible for a large and comprehensive plan to succeed because advantages cannot be superimposed at will,and a platter of advantages cannot make up the vitality.Success comes from fewer but better.The implementation path is very important to the success of the project,and success is inseparable from the goal orientation.Therefore,the design should choose a goal-oriented and smooth implementation path to ensure the steady progress of the smart city.
