The 100-year history of the Communist Party of China is the history of the unity,cooperation and unremitting struggle of the Communist Party of China,together with all democratic parties,people′s organizations and people from all walks of life to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Over the past 100 years,the construction of consultative democracy by the Communist Party of China has gone through four periods:the initial exploration during the new democratic revolution,the continued exploration during the socialist revolution and construction,the continuous advancement in the new period of reform,opening-up and socialist modernization,and the all-round development of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.In this process,valuable historical experience has been accumulated,that is,in terms of the construction of consultative democracy,adhering to the leadership of the Communist Party of China is its fundamental guarantee,adhering to the people-centered approach is its value purpose,and adhering to theoretical innovation is its driving force,adhering to our own path is its inevitable choice,realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is its main theme,and persisting in seeking common ground while reserving differences and being rational and inclusive are the basic principles of the construction.To comprehensively promote the construction of consultative democracy in the new era,we must uphold and improve the leadership of the Communist Party of China,meet the people′s needs for a better life,strengthen the construction of the socialist consultative democracy system,and unswervingly follow the path of socialist political development with Chinese characteristics.
