B oli Zhang,academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering,national famous doctors of traditional Chinese medicine,honorary president of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,honorary dean of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,director of State Key Laboratory of Component-based Chinese Medicine,deputy chief technical officer of Special Project for“Significant New Drug Research and Development”in the Major National Science and Technology Projects of China,chief supervisor of Chinese Medical Association,chairman of Traditional Chinese Medicine Educational Instruction Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.Professor Boli Zhang guides the intervention of traditional Chinese medicine in the entire process of treatment in COVID-19.The integrated Chinese and Western medicine therapy that he leads to research and development becomes a highlight in China’s program.He was awarded the national honorary title of“the People’s Hero”for his significant contributions to the inheritance,innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine.He has won 7 National Science and Technology Awards of the first and second prize,2 first prizes of National Teaching Achievements,National Innovation Award,Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award,He Liang He Li Medical Award,Wu Jieping Medical Award and Shu-Lan Medical Award,etc.
