Zhu Wenshu and Zhonghua Book Company

朱文叔是我国现代著名的语文学者、编辑大家,1921—1949年在中华书局教科书图书部担任编辑、副部长,先后参与五套中小学文史地和师范教育学科教材近百种、数百册的编辑工作,成为清末以来各书局编写和校阅教科书最多的编辑之一。他还参与《辞海》等图书的校勘以及《初中学生文库》《中华文库》的主编工作,并发表了一系列论著,为中华书局的早期发展立下了汗马功劳,也为繁荣我国现代教科书事业做出了重要贡献。

Zhu Wenshu was a famous Chinese language scholar and an editor in modern China.Served as an editor and the deputy head of the textbook department of Zhonghua Book Company from 1921 to 1949,he took part in editing nearly 100 titles and hundreds of volumes of textbooks,including five sets of textbooks on the subjects of literature,history and geography for elementary and secondary school students,and textbooks for normal school students.Zhu Wenshu had been one of the editors who wrote and proofread the most textbooks since the late Qing Dynasty among a number of book companies.Moreover,he proofread books such as Ci Hai,and was the chief editor of Junior High School Students Library and Library of Chinese Classics.Also,he published a series of works,making significant contributions to the early development of Zhonghua Book Company and the prosperity of the textbooks in modern China.
