Chinese-style Landscape Cultural Narration in American Poetry in the Mid-20th Century

兴起于20世纪中期的美国“垮掉派”诗人代表雷克斯罗思、史耐德等受美国学习中国传统文化的影响,他们崇尚老庄张扬个性和禅宗“佛我为一”的思想精神,其诗歌通过模仿中国道禅山水诗歌中的主题和意象,或是化用其诗句,呈现出具有中国山水田园诗歌意境的特征,在美国诗坛形成了别具一格的中国山水文化叙事创作风尚,并由此享誉美国诗坛。

Poets of the“Beat Generation”in the mid-20th century such as Rexroth and Snyder were influenced by the trend of studying Chinese traditional cultures in America.They absorbed Chinese culture from Laozi,Zhuangzi and Zen spirit of“Buddha and me as one”,and imitated the theme and the image of Chinese landscape poetry.Or they even created their American pastoral poetry by borrowing Chinese landscape poetry artistically,which were very famous in American poetry for their unique Chinese fashion of landscape culture narrative.
