摘要
实践主导型美术学研究是一种新型研究方法论。由于主张以艺术实践为产生新知识的研究方法仍存在争议,基于“由于艺术创作的目的是为创作者已经确定了的想法制作一个表象,因此它的结果必然指向‘已知’而无法产生新知识”的观点,表象主义者普遍对实践主导型美术学研究表示质疑。以法国后结构主义哲学家吉尔·德勒兹和菲利克斯·加塔利所创立的“块茎”哲学为视角,结合了艺术家诸如芭芭拉·波尔特和詹姆斯·埃尔金斯的叙述以及对法国艺术家马赛尔·杜尚的经典作品《泉》的分析,本文回应了表象主义艺术观并说明了艺术创作是如何产生新知识的。
Practice-led Research in Fine Art is a new methodology in academic research.This methodology is in controversy as it sees artistic practice as a method of producing new knowledge.Based on the idea that artistic practice cannot produce now knowledge as it can only produce visual representations for what the artist already has in her/his mind,representationalists tend to be sceptical about Practice-led Research in Fine Art.By analysing the work of Barbara Bolt,James Elkins and Marcel Duchamp from the perspective of Rhizome philosophy developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari,this paper refutes the representationalist idea that denies artistic practice could make original contribution to knowledge.
