岁月摭拾共沧桑 圕林情牵垂后昆——中国第一个图书馆学博士桂质柏在国立四川大学

桂质柏(1900—1979年),中国第一个图书馆学博士,是1922年文华大学图书科首届毕业生,曾经担任东北大学、国立南京大学、国立四川大学、国立武汉大学等高校的图书馆和中国科学院武汉图书馆的馆长(主任)。此文主要根据四川大学馆藏档案等文献资料,对桂质柏20世纪30年代在国立四川大学五年的图书馆管理实践和教育经历进行厘清和完善。

Chih-Ber Kwei(1900-1979), the first doctor of Library Science in China, was the first graduate of the Library Science Department of Wenhua University in 1922. He had served as the director of university libraries such as Northeast University, National Central University, National Sichuan University and National Wuhan University and the Wuhan Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Based on the archives of Sichuan University, this paper clarifies and completes some facts of the library management practice and education experience of Ph.D Chih-Ber Kwei in the 1930s.
