普通地质学全英文教学实践与方法探讨

Practice and Mode Exploration of Teaching Physical Geology in English

全英文教学的开展是我国高等教学国际化教学发展的产物。中国石油大学(北京)于2018年秋季开始招收全英文授课的留学生班,《普通地质学》是该班留学生第一门专业必修课。在此背景下,作者开展了《普通地质学》全英文理论与实践教学。文章系统回顾了该门课程全英文教学的历程,重点总结了针对大多数母语为非英语的留学生开展全英文教学中的体会与经验,详细阐述了在教学方法与考核模式等方面的新做法与新探索,以供其他地质院校在实施《普通地质学》全英文教学过程中参考和借鉴。

Teaching in English has been implemented in many colleges and universities in order to achieve internationalization of higher education.Since the autumn of 2018,China University of Petroleum-Beijing has begun to recruit international students and implemented English teaching for this class.As such,we started all-English teaching of both theory and field practice of Physical Geology.This paper summarized the experience of all-English teaching for international students,most of whose mother language is not English,and explored the teaching mode and assessment mode.We hope this paper can provide a better way to conduct the all-English teaching mode of Physical Geology in other geological colleges or universities.
