政治话语的协商架构分析

Framing Deliberation in Political Discourse

本研究对《华盛顿邮报》网站上有关美国政府贸易保护政策的公众辩论文章进行分析,探讨贸易保护政策的协商架构。本文将论证分析与政治话语的架构结合,提出政治话语的协商架构图式。架构策略选择性凸显包括行动环境、预期与非预期结果、规范性价值观在内的目标论证前提或后果论证前提。研究发现:一方面目标论证的环境前提被凸显,强调支持贸易保护政策的必要性。另一方面后果论证前提被凸显,引导受众反对贸易保护政策。总体上,从语料数据看,认为“贸易保护政策不可接受、不合理”的负面后果论证占更大比例。本文为政治话语研究提供新的分析视角,为回应争端事件的话语建构提供一定启示。

This study analyzes a body of articles on Sino-US trade disputes from the website of Washington Post.It explores the deliberation framing of trade protection policy.By integrating the analysis of practical arguments into the framing of political discourse,the study proposes a deliberation framing scheme.The framing strategies selectively make salient certain premises of arguments from goal or arguments from consequence,including the action circumstances,desirable or undesirable consequences,and normative values.On the one hand,the framing process conspicuously displays action circumstances of arguments from goal,emphasizing the necessity of supporting trade protection policies.On the other hand,arguments from negative consequences,steering the audience to a decisive objection to trade protection policies,are prominently exhibited.Based on the proof-data,arguments from negative consequences,in which the trade policy proposed is framed as unacceptable and unreasonable,take up a larger proportion.The study proffers a novel analytical perspective to political discourse studies,rendering implications to the discourse construction in response to disputable events.
