基于双重差分模型下举办体育赛事对城市经济的影响研究

Research on the Impact of Hosting Sporting Events on Urban Economy based on Double Difference Model

本文回顾了近些年来我国学者关于举办体育赛事对城市发展影响的研究,在前任学者的研究基础上提出理论假设,利用2010-2019的城市面板数据并采用双重差分法构造模型来验证所提出的理论假设。结果表明:举办体育赛事能够促进城市经济发展,其推进作用具有滞后性。建议:政府及其相关主体应创新管理方式,联合不同社会责任主体,构造城市特色文化赛事体系,同时应着重审视自身城市定位,避免因举办体育赛事造成城市财政负担过重而产生的负面效应。

This paper reviews the research on the impact of hosting sporting events on urban development by Chinese scholars in recent years, puts forward the following theoretical assumptions based on the research of previous scholars, and uses the urban panel data from 2010 to 2019 to construct a model by using the double difference method to verify the proposed theoretical assumptions.The results show that hosting sporting events can promote urban economic development and has a lagging impact on urban economic development;the government and its related bodies should innovate management methods, strongly unite different stakeholders with social responsibility, and construct a system of cultural events with urban characteristics.At the same time, the hosting city should focus on its own urban positioning, so as to avoid negative effects of excessive financial burden caused by hosting sporting events.
