There is no consensus on the Chinese translation of the AGENT in Artificial Intelligence,which limits the depth of research.Reviewing the era background of the emergence of AGENT in AI,summarizing the translation of AGENT in AI in the Chinese context,examining in detail the descriptions of AGENT in several classic AI works in English,and thinking about the reasons for the rectification of Chinese translation of AGENT.It can be determined that the AGENT should be translated as"xingweiti"(doer or actor).The AGENT should be the"subject"of AI′s"ac⁃tion"in each field involved in the crossover study between AI and various disciplines of philosophy and social sci⁃ences.Therefore,the AI-related"action"subject,that is,the"legal subject"involved in the crossover study of AI and law,is the AGENT.This rectification is to crossover study the"action"of AGENT in AI and law,to bury the clues of the name,so as not to be unjustifiable.It not only helps to deepen the understanding of AGENT in the field of AI itself,but also helps to further promote the cross research of AI and law,and also helps to achieve mastery through a compre⁃hensive study on AGENT at a higher level.
