As the main representative of folk art in Han Dynasty,Han painted stone is famous for its rich cultural heritage and unique artistic charm.In the research field of Han Dynasty stone paintings,the romantic star patterns are mainly concentrated in Nanyang area of Henan Province,with a number of up to 100 pieces.This phenomenon is closely related to Nanyang’s developed economy and culture,superior geographical conditions,unique humanistic ideas,and the prevailing custom of heavy burial in the Han Dynasty.Therefore,the stone star pattern of Nanyang Han portrait is selected as the research object,and it is skillfully applied to functional clothing design by analyzing its artistic language and formal characteristics.
