Objective To develop a social resource support scale of pregnant women with gestational diabetes and to test its reliability and validity. Methods Based on the social-ecological model, the initial scale was formed through literature analysis,open-model expert consultation, and 2 rounds of the Delphi method. The convenience sampling was adopted to select 301 pregnant women with gestational diabetes from January to August 2021 in 3 hospitals in Fujian Province of China. The items screening and the test of reliability and validity were carried out. Results The scale includes 7 dimensions,38 items, and 7 additional evaluation items of various dimensional importance, which come to 45 items in total. The positive coefficients of 2 rounds of letter consultations were 100%and 85.71%;the authority coefficient were all 0.879;the coordination coefficients were 0.218 and 0.298.The Cronbach’sαcoefficient was 0.935;the test-retest reliability was 0.724;the content validity was 0.970.The exploratory factor analysis identified 7 principal factors, and the accumulative contribution of variance was 63.210%.Conclusion The social resource support scale of pregnant women with gestational diabetes has good reliability and validity. It can be used as a tool for medical staff to evaluate the social support of pregnant women with gestational diabetes.
