Further Discussion on the Key Factors Affecting of Emperor Wanli's Large-scale Troops Dispatching to Aid Korea

关于明朝万历年间援朝抗倭的动因问题,中韩学界多将郑崑寿请兵视为促成明朝大举出兵的主要和直接原因。然而结合此前朝鲜使臣多次辩诬活动进行考察,笔者发现郑氏请兵之举并未完全消除明廷与朝鲜之间的重重疑云,当时中朝关系得以修复的程度颇值商榷。专就明廷出兵各环节与郑崑寿请兵活动对比分析,发现二者之间亦不存在逻辑衔接和因果关系。另有史料证明,明廷的军事行动主要是根据对朝鲜倭情的掌握程度和出兵准备的进度而开展的。

On the motivation of aiding Korea and resisting Japanese in Emperor Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty,nearly all scholars in China and Korea regard Zheng Kunshou's asking for the army as the main and direct factors,which had promoted the Ming government to send troops on a large scale.But by referring to the previous debate activities of Korea envoys,the paper has found that the Ming Dynasty's suspicions on Korea has never been removed,and the extent of the restoration of the relationship between the Ming and Korea was doubtful.By comparing and analyzing the military recruitment activities and Zheng Kunshou's asking for the army,it is founded that there is no logical relations and causality between them.Other historical data proved that all military actions of the Ming Dynasty had been carried out according to two factors:one was the degree of grasping the Japanese pirates'situation in Korea,the other was the progress of war preparation.
