摘要
“辨物正言,断辞则备”本出自《周易·系辞》,其在原始语境中是指一种观察、认识事物的逻辑方式,其特征是以“类”观物。刘勰在运用本义的基础上对此进行了延伸,将其纳入文体理论体系之中。彼时盛行“言意”的争论,在此文化背景下,刘勰以“辨物正言,断辞则备”作为“言尽意”的策略来确定“宗经”之可行,并进一步提高“道—圣—经”体系的黏合度。另外,“辨物正言,断辞则备”包含了“作文”曲隐简约的主张,具有重要的文体学价值。
"Bian Wu Zheng Yan,Duan Ci Ze Bei"(distinguishing things is the right way to speak,and judging words is the right way to prepare) originated from the Great Appendix.In the original context,it refers to a logical way to observe and understand things,which is characterized by "class" view of things.On the basis of using the original meaning,Liu Xie extended and brought it into the stylistic theory system.Under the cultural background of the prevailing debate on "speech and meaning" at that time,Liu Xie determined the feasibility of "Zong jing" and further improved the integration of the system of "Dao-Sheng-Jing(the Original Dao,the Sage and the Classics)" by "Bian Wu Zheng Yan,Duan Ci Ze Bei".In addition,it contains the proposition of simplicity in veiled style,which is of great stylistic value.
