英汉“土味情话”生成方式及语义特征对比探究

A Comparative Study on Generative Modes and Semantic Features of English and Chinese "Cheesy Pick-up Lines"

以网络英汉各100句富有代表性的“土味情话”为研究语料,对两种语言下的“土味情话”在词汇生成方式和语义特征的异同性进行对比分析。研究发现,英汉“土味情话”生成方式在同音型、谐音型、同形异义型、押韵型、语义双关型及通俗比喻型六个方面表现出相同性;二者的相异性则体现在:英语“土味情话”的特殊生成方式为变动音节型和缩略构词型,而汉语则体现在仿拟套用型和拆字重组型的运用上。经对比分析后得出,英汉“土味情话”语义特征共性表现为泛化性、幽默性、模糊性和概括性,而差异则在于民族性,并提出了其共性和差异性的理据。

A total of 100 typical "cheesy pick-up lines" in English and Chinese respectively were collected as the research corpus through network channel,aiming to make a comparative analysis of similarities and differences in the lexical generative modes and semantic features of these discourses in two languages.The results of this study show that generative modes of "cheesy pick-up lines" in English and Chinese are similar in six aspects:homophony,similar pronunciation,homonymy,rhyming,semantic pun and simile.The differences of special generative modes in English lie in the changeable syllables and abbreviated word-formation,while in Chinese they are embodied in the parody and splitting and reorganization.Through comparative analysis,it is concluded that the semantic universalities of "cheesy pick-up lines" in English and Chinese are characterized by generalization,humor,vagueness and generality,while the difference lies in ethnicity,and the reasons for the commoness and differences are put forward.
