摘要
2021年堪称“元宇宙”元年,该词火爆席卷各大报刊版面及网络头条,同时也引发了人们对该术语翻译的思考。文章从metaverse的词源和词义着手,对比原名和译名的翻译等值程度、语义规范,提出应翻译成“虚时空”,并从音形意方面及伦理层面进行论证,给出理据。
2021 can be seen as the first year of metaverse.The word appears frequently in major newspapers and Internet headlines.At the same time,it also leads to people’s thinking on the translation of the term.Starting from the etymology and meaning of metaverse,and based on comparing the translation equivalence and semantic norms between the original term and the translated one,we propose to translate it into“xushikong(虚时空)”from the aspect of pronunciation,form and meaning as well as from the ethical level,and provide for doing so.
